Drew Sarmiere

MA Educational Psychology – University of Northern Colorado
BS Biology – James Madison University
Teaching Licensure – Metro State University

Drew grew up in Williamsburg, VA, and moved to CO shortly after graduating from James Madison University with a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He then spent two years teaching skiing in Breckenridge before moving to Denver to pursue a classroom teaching career. Drew worked for several years in DPS, teaching biology in the IB program at George Washington HS as well as physical science in the traditional program. He eventually departed GWIB to join the biology department at DU, his sights set on continuing his teaching career at the college level. It was during this time that he began tutoring students privately, an endeavor that ultimately led to the formation of Peak Learning Solutions.

While building Peak’s client base, Drew accepted a one year maternity leave position at Heritage HS teaching chemistry and physical science. Upon completion of this one year obligation, and now ready to commit himself fully to Peak, Drew began working privately with students full time along with the help of some close colleagues from his teaching career. Since that time, Peak has grown from a one man operation to over 40 teachers and multiple office locations in two states. As Peak grew as a business, Drew continued to grow as an educator, receiving a Master’s in Educational Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. The science associated with this field, and others, is integral to Peak’s methods and philosophies. Drew is extremely proud of Peak’s success and the wonderful staff of educational professionals with whom he has the privilege to work. When not working, Drew spends his free time skiing, surfing, playing soccer, biking, and traveling. He’s also a musician and an avid reader.
